    Why won’t my pc detect usb


    I was playing Fortnite and I dropped my controller I play on a windows 10 pro but I had dropped my controller and it just turned off the usb had broke so I switched it to a new one and it still wouldn’t work I tried it on another platform and it worked fine my pc isn’t detecting the usb device I’ve tried everything nothing works

    try a different usb device on your pc, you could have damaged the port itself and this could damage other ports depending how they are connected via the mainboard.

    Hi ClipxyYt!

    Have you tried to plug in a different device like USB flash drive if it could still be detected?

    I suggest that you also try to use a different USB cable. It may be a cable issue.

    Other option to try is to uninstall our USB driver by going to the Device manager. Click on Start menu > search "Device manager" and select it. Look for USB or Universal Serial Bus controller. Uninstall it then restart your PC.

    Tried it in both USB 2 & 3 ports with no response, my PC fails to detect the adapter. I know it's not the USB ports on my computer that aren't working, as I've even unplugged the adapter and tried another device in the port, which are detected by my PC
    every time.

    Yes in this moment i have it connected by USB cable if I can connect it and my PC detects it. But I want it connected without using the usb cable. It's a pretty expensive control that buys it with a lot of effort. And I do not know why a normal control detects it without problem and the Elite does not work.
    And regarding your other question, my elite control does not have any connection problem with my xbox one s

    In regard to connecting directly to the gateway; that was only possible by connecting the Xbox directly to the router via the one available lan port, and the pc to the router's usb port. Attempt to stream music to the Xbox is halted when the pc can't be
    detected. On the pc's end, no network could be detected when attached to the router via usb.

    Just for the hell of it I connected the Xbox Ethernet directly to the back of the pc; the Xbox couldn't detect the pc this way either.
