why wont my original xbox one wont turn on?

i have the original xbox one that is no longer supported - was playing fine in the morning then did the system update that had appeared on my console - it appeared as normal downloading then verified the download and restarted or so i thought it was going to as many times before - it shutdown and will not start up by either button on the front or by a controller - checked all connections the power lead is perfect and light is on solid - when i press eject button with drive empty i hear the eject sound very quietly - with no issues before update or issue with power supply i feel this is a software issue caused by the update - i have tried unplugging everything and doing the advice with power but still not turning on and all xbox advise is take it to repair shop when they are the ones that caused this with there update and cannot afford any advice would be great

i just dont understand how i have a hardware issue when was working fine before the system update

am i wrong to think that the system update i did caused this ?

im also thinking that it might cost me more taking to a repair shop than buying another xbox either i can not afford right now which has added to all of this i wont deny

thanks your right as checked my power adaptor again and looked fine light fully on not blinking so thought it was fine anyway remembered had a spare brick from previous original xbox one so for some reason decided to try it switching them around and as plugged it in it came alive again so many thanks for your help sorry for if seemed angry its the only console i play and keeps me sane

Before you take the console to the repair shop, could be good if you try to use a different power brick on your console. Otherwise, I encourage you to ask them to inspect your device.
