Why won't my Minecraft account migrate properly?

After clicking the link to migrate my account, I was able to sign in to my Mojang account, press "Let's Start Moving", get and plug in code from my email, create my Microsoft account, and then get to the page "Choose how you look on Xbox". Then, after filling out the gamertag and seeing a green check, I go to click "Let's go" and it does not redirect me anywhere. Have tried on three separate browsers and 2 different devices. Very frustrating.

I understand you need help with your Minecraft migration problem.

Were you already able to create a gamertag for your account? Try logging in to the Xbox page here: https://account.xbox.com/profile

Check if you already have a gamertag. Once done, try doing the migration again, use existing Microsoft account if you have already created one. See if that helps.

Well I can confirm my account migrated properly since I recieved a confirmation email as well as the migrator cape in minecraft.

There seems to be a lot of options, like share screenshot of your launcher, and steps to properly log in after migration as you won't be using Mojang account anymore, but Microsoft account log in and must be the account that has the migration confirmation

It won't allow me to migrate my Mojang account. Maybe because I have never bought Minecraft java on it.

If you purchased Minecraft for the PC, that doesn't automatically get you the Xbox One version unfortunately.

If you're trying to update Minecraft on your PC and it's stating you don't have an account, that's most likely why it won't update. It will not properly connect to their services until the account is authed.

At least that has been my experience with it.
