Why Won't My Mic Work When I Plug It Into My Controller?

Hi People That Are Reading This, Ive Been Having A Problem With My Controller Lately. When I Go And Plug In My Mic It Won't Work. If I Do It On My Other Controller (My Brothers) It Will Work Perfectly Fine No Problem.

Can You Help Me Fix This By Giving Me Steps? Thank You.

Mic problems

Hey guys, my mic doesn't want to seem to work. When I plug it in it registers that there's a mic but I can't hear anyone and nobody can hear me, it started happening after my controller died. When I plug the mic into s different controller it works. BTW
I'm using controller with built in 3.5 mm Jack

ChatPad and Headset

My chatpad is currently not working after I pulled it too quickly from the controller. I can still plug it in and it will still turn on and I can use it to type messages. But, if I try to plug in my wired headset into the chatpad, then the headset won't
work. If I disconnect the chatpad and plug the headset into the controller directly, it will work. When the headset is the only thing plugged in then a mic icon appears next to my name when I am in a party. but the mic isnt connected. Sometimes I plug in the
chatpad and the mic icon doesn't show but as soon as I plug in the headset then it glitches ad fails. The people I talk to can hear me, but I can't hear them. Help?

Hmm. Is your controller up to date? That's the only thing that stands out to me if it works on your brothers controller and not yours.

OR have you tried new batteries??

I have another problem, when I plug my mic in the new controller they can’t hear me but my mic works perfectly

Yes. I tried my headset in my phone. Sound is clear and my mic works. But when plugged into controller its like my controller does not recognize it's plugged in. My controller has fresh batteries and is up to date. It worked fine Wednesday. But when i played
Thursday it didn't work at all.

why. It is the only headset that "pairs" with the 360.

Anything wireless won't work. The mic on the Tritton Warhead is wireless. The mic won't work.
