    Why won't my gamerpic change?


    I tried to change it on the pc xbox app and the mobile xbox app, but it won't work It say they need to approve then they'll add it. but i've waited over 12 hours and nothing. It's just the superintendent from Halo 3 ODST he's not inappropriate right?

    Gamerpic changes can take up to 72 hours to be approved and change. But besides that, right now there's an issue with gamerpics. Nothing officially showing on the Xbox status page (https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status) but other users are reporting the same issue as you.

    Please wait some time until it gets fixed by the Xbox team. If you want, you can report it on the Xbox status page.

    I'm an Xbox Ambassador and will be happy to assist you today. Despite the issue you're experiencing I hope you're having a great day.

    If you are on a child account under a parent, you will not be able to change your gamer picture to a custom one. If not try the instructions below:

    Connect a USB device with a JPG or PNG image to upload a custom image. You can also grab an image from OneDrive (available in the Microsoft Store under Apps) if you have it installed on your console.

    Note
    Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Select Sign in, choose your profile, then select My profile.
    3. Select Customize profile > Change gamerpic. (You’ll need to select Switch to gamerpic first if you’re replacing your avatar with a custom image.)
    4. Select Upload a custom image and choose one to use from your connected device or OneDrive.
    5. Select Upload.
    It might take a little while for your custom picture to appear while we verify it’s OK. (If it’s not, it’ll be reverted to the last gamerpic or avatar you used.)

    It's been confirmed by an Xbox Support Agent that there is currently an outage with custom gamerpics not updating.

    Unfortunately, I am not able to specify a date this will be resolved as we're not provided this information from the team.

    You can track the progress, and be notified of the fix by going to Xbox Status | Xbox Support. Once there is a solution, please attempt to upload your custom gamerpic again and it should be fine.

    I can see currently everything is showing as fully operational despite the circumstances. In this case, it's advisable to report an outage.

    Please follow the steps below:

    Step 1) Please go to Xbox Status | Xbox Support.

    Step 2) Navigate down the page to "Services".

    Step 3) Select the dropdown arrow for "Account & profile".

    Step 4) Check the status of the service: 'Gamerpics'.

    Step 5) Next to the dropdown arrow, select the three dots beside "Account & profile".

    Step 6) Select 'Report an outage' and submit your feedback.
