Why won't my game download past a certain percentage? How to download the whole game??

hi there,

i have tried to download superliminal on my pc since i recently got xbox gamepass. i have tried multiple times to install it and each time it gets to 67% and says an error has occurred with the error code 0x87e0000f. i tried updating the xbox app and trying to download... no luck. i tried closing and reopening the app to download again and no luck, so, i contacted xbox/microsoft support. one lady was very helpful as i gave her access to my device and she done some things in my settings and coding things in the command centre which i didnt watch too much as it seemed too tech-y for me. after a few retries of downloading it after her attempts at multiple things it still did not work and would only reach 67% before telling me an error had occured and giving me the same message. so she said to restart my device. however, i then lost my chat with her and had to speak to someone else from xbox/microsoft who, after i updated on them on what had occurred, recommended i contact the game developers' pillow castle games' which i have done and am currently waiting for a response. i also had no problems when downloading another random game just to test... however this game did take up less storage so i dont know if that makes any difference. i do still have enough storage for superliminal though so it shouldnt be a problem.

I was seeing someone who got a same issue like you and even I myself tried it got the same one. I strongly believe to get contact with the developers and see how they suggest a solution to this game. Since other games are downloading easily it's an issue with the specific game. I will also contact the developers Pillow Castles and will let you know the best solution.

I just bought this game from BestBuy & having a similar issue. The game appears to be stuck during the installation phase of the game. The screen shows: Disc 5.72 GB of 5.72 GB and under this shows: Network 48.25 GB of 160.54 GB and further down it shows 32.6%. I’ve been trying to install this game for well over five hours now. I’ve tried everything!

Damn shame I’m having the exact same problem, but mine stops installing at 12.6gb / 12%. Was hoping to find a solution here ):

So Xbox support offered no help so I am going through consumer affairs as this is not what you expect when you pay nearly $20 a month for subscription. Absolutely poor ethics.

Anyhow I had to buy another modem and access point to give variation to my network.

Sounds similar to my issue,

I can't install games or at random it installs, Have now had 3 Xbox X series and support is so bad I am so done and have enquired to Ombudsman as paying ultimate subscription and being left like this is not good, when you cant turn a console on and play a game there is something very wrong with the people that made it.
