Why wont my Dolby access update

I had the same problem and called Microsoft and they said only games that support Dolby atmos will work. I tested out the theory and every game that supports Dolby atmos works and very game that doesn't support it wont work. Im not sure why it worked before
and not now. Maybe an update changed that.

Please check the status of the Dolby Access license. Make sure that your Dolby Access license is active and linked to your Microsoft account. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft Store and checking your purchase history: https://account.microsoft.com>; Order history.

And then go to the Dolby Access app, sign out of your account, and then sign back in.

Next is to check for update. Both the Dolby Access app and your Xbox console should be up to date.

Then reset Dolby Access App To do this kindly go to Settings > Apps > Dolby Access > Advanced Options > Reset. This can sometimes resolve issues with the app.

Settings are all set up for atmos, the UHD player doednt support Dolby Atmos metadata. Highest it can do is Dolby Tru HD. The one x plays games - streams content from netflix, youtube etc in Dolby Atmos this is confirmed on thr TV and the Sound system.
I have dolby access all my components are correct. I dont see why if microsoft have the license for Atmos (as its funtioning on all other aspects in tbr console) that they wouldnt just do a software update so the UHD player can. Looking at thr specs on tbe
series x that still shows the new UHD player on the series x still doesnt put out dolby atmos. Needs updating

We can't say why it's not one like the one you mentioned on the Xbox but you can download the Dolby access app to configure the Dolby audio settings

Update:

I have now tried a 4K Blu-ray disk and can confirm that Dolby Atmos works with it. I used the AVR Key so HDR would go to my LG OLED TV and the Dolby Atmos Sound would go to my non-HDCP2.2 Marantz SR7009 Receiver. I now believe the problem is with the Dolby
Access App and not with the Xbox One X's operating system itself since the 4K Blu-ray would send its own Dolby Atmos track to the receiver bypassing the Dolby Access App. Where with Games and the Demo's in the Dolby Access App are using that App to process
the Dolby Atmos signal. Thus I believe it is a problem with the Dolby Access App, but i don't know how that ties into the operating system or how the Blu-ray player app integrates with the Xbox's operating system or bypasses it because of that pass-through
setting that lets the receiver process the Atmos Signal. Either way I have concluded there is nothing more I can do, it's definitely an issue with either the operating system or Dolby Access App having compatibility issues.
