    Why won't Bedrock version of minecraft work on my computor.


    I got minecraft like 6 months ago for java. I only found out recently that I got bedrock version also. Since my friends on console made a bedrock real I decided that I wanted to try to join them. So I went to the launcher and hit install on the minecraft for windows version. It got done loading and I hit play, then it jut displayed the Mojang Studios screen and then disapeared. I have tried uninstaling and reinstaling the minecraft for windows version and the launcher. I tried instaling the launcher from both the microsoft store and from minecraft.com, I'm not sure what else to try. (Note, I tried this from windows 10)

    Let's make sure that your Windows is up-to-date and get all the updates available from your Microsoft Store.

    Get updates from Microsoft Store - https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/g...

    Then let's reinstall your game services app.

    Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    You will not have to uninstall the Minecraft (Bedrock) as it won't affect the Xbox One Edition of the game. It is basically separate versions.

    There are several different versions of minecraft. Minecraft: Java edition is PC only and can only crossplay with Java players (mac, Lenox, PC) The minecraft that doesnt have a version next to it is the play together version or more commonly called bedrock.
    Bedrock is the version that can be played across mobile, console, and PC. There are also editions that are made specifically for most consoles and even a stand alone mobile version. Examples would be Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
    These do not work with Bedrock which is just called Minecraft. Java is the most updated version of minecraft while bedrock would be right behind that one. The others I'm really not sure how often they update them if at all. Each edition of Minecraft has to
    be purchased separately. I happen to own both Minecraft: Xbox one edition and Minecraft since they released at separate times. I also have Java on my PC. As for your issue they do not have a Bedrock version on the 360.

    DLC for Minecraft works for Xbox 360 and Xbox one edition. it doesn't work for bedrock version.
