    When I click on the game nothing happens, is there anything I can do to actually play.(I downloaded the game and have a disc version)

    I don't know how involved dice was in Battlefield Hardline so I won't judge them on that.

    why won't battlefield hardline launch?

    It could be the game you have on your console it the "linked" version to the game disk.

    Put the disk in and see what happens when you click it. You could be clicking on the "game install".

    Deleted the game on your console and the reinsert the disc.

    EA explains why the BF4 Launch was so bad

    bf4 is fine when it works, but it still has a good amount of pronlems 8 months after the games launch. if you ask me, i blame dice as well. there is no reason a game 8 months after launch still has problems. i played the battlefield hardlines beta, its worse
    than bf4. by far the worst battlefield game. i am not getting another battlefield game. bf4 ruined the franchise and hardline killed it
