Im in the Xbox insider hub i was on the xbox 360 preview but not on the XB1 version.

Hello Mark, I don't know which Insider ring you belong to but Insider builds have bugs and errors that normal builds don't.

I see. In this case, have you tried to remove your account, change the console's region to somewhere else (like Canada or the UK) and then after that change it to Australian? It seems that there might be an issue with the Australian region package.

If that doesn't work, try to download the Xbox Insider Bundle and check if you can apply for a newer version (test) of the Xbox OS on the Xbox Insider Hub, through the Xbox Update Preview. After your console updates to the newer version, check if you can change the region again.

If you still can't, I recommend you to use the Report a problem button from the "Shutdown" window (press and hold the Xbox button on your controller) and then fill the report as needed. Also, contact the Xbox Support directly to let them know of this issue.

To leave the Xbox Update Preview, go back to the Xbox Insider Hub app and leave the Xbox Update Preview. After the console returns to the standard version of the OS, you can uninstall the Xbox Insider Hub.

To check you need to download the Xbox Insiders app to your console and see if the console is enrolled in a preview. Xbox Insider hub has more detail.
