    Okay so this was a long time ago(Christmas 2020) but i had gotten the Xbox series x and when I went to switch over to it all was fine until I went onto my Xbox one and ALL of my clips and captures throughout the years(literally all the clips I ever had up till that point like og Fortnite with my friends which is kinda the main reason why I was mad) had been deleted. And I did have a external Hard drive that I put into the series x so I thought maybe it was on there which it wasn’t, and since then I’ve looked everywhere on my consoles and I’ve looked in my one drive to see if they were uploaded there but I found nothing so I was just kind of wondering why the were deleted and maybe there is somewhere I didn’t look. And I’ve seen people say stuff that like if it didn’t have any views and wasn’t uploaded than they’d be deleted after a while but idk, so if someone could help me out or answer as to why they were deleted that’d be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi. My name is Mel and I am an independent advisor. Due to a new policy starting October 1st, 2023, existing and new captures on the Xbox Network will be automatically deleted after 90 days. Hope this helps

    I thought about that too and deleted all captures (photos and videos) on my Xbox One X. It did not solve the problem.

    Game captures are terrible.

    Xbox series x. There is so much documentation about this issue, no-one has a solution (apart from streaming on twitch, saving the vod and then editing the video). Compared with my xbox one captures, taken well over a year ago, they are awful, choppy, stuttering messes. This is not a problem on my end, this is a problem with the xbox series x capture system. The fact captures are STILL terrible is a joke, given the series x was released over 18 months ago.

    Funny how I haven't had this issue on my xbox one x ever but when I go on my xbox series S then it just starts having the lag spike issues with my captures.
