Why was the Remnant 2 physical release cancelled?

I've called every store in town as the game was supposed to be released for sale on the 25th but all the answers I got were that they never received the shipments of the games at all and do not know if they will be getting them. Why was the physical release of Remnant 2 cancelled?

Tried that already, they have yet to respond.

You would have to ask the developer.

But my guess would be they couldn't get a replication slot
