Why was my game refund denied immediatly?

I bought Lords of the Fallen 2, which was released on October 13, 2023. With only 6 hours of play time most of it involving crashes and issues of the game not starting. Among the other bountiful of problems when playing the game. You know, actual reasons to make any person wanting to get their money back. So I did just that and requested a refund. I went onto the request pending section right after I sent the message, just to make sure it went through. And it showed I was immediatly denied. Like we aren't talking 3 or 4 hours later this happened immediately. And now I have no way of contacting them to see if it's an issue on their end or even ask why I was immediatly denied. I did check the little info button and all it said was "can't refund digital copies". So now I have even more questions like why have a refund section if digital copies are literally the main source of it and they arent allowed?

I hope you got a refund because I am dealing with the same issue. It is terrible to play, and my refund request got denied immediately. I even called my bank because I'm so annoyed. It feels like a scam.

Yeah unfortunately we aren't the only ones. I have seen plenty of tiktoks and reddit forums of people getting the same excuse and most of them sold their Xbox consoles to go to Playstation and Steam. Hell maybe the reason they don't give refunds is because they know they made a big mistake and are to much of a coward to own up to it. So instead of learning from their poor choice of game companies they will instead screw everyone that isn't happy with a game.

That's the same thing they told me. I just tried appealing. It pisses me off too. I have a way lower opinion of Xbox after this whole thing.

Refunds are usually granted when we have less of 4 hours of playtime (but this may vary or be less than 2 hours).
As you said you played the game for 6 hours, this may be the reason.

However, you can try to appeal the refund by replying to the email Microsoft sent you. But in case you didn’t receive an email. You can try to request a refund by submitting the form I shared below:

I hope your request can be reviewed as soon as possible and a resolution can be provided by Microsoft.
