    Why the removal of bitstream out in the audio settings?


    In one of the recent updates they removed this handy feature and I am curious to find out why or if anyone in here could offer an update.

    If you go to your Audio settings are they set up like this...HDMI audio(off)...Optical audio(Bitstream out)...Bitstream format(Dolby Digital)?

    for audio settings I have hdmi audio as bitstream out and bitstream format as dolby atmos. The sound bar I have is sony top of line unit.

    I had the same problem Raicrow, but it may not be for the same reasons.

    I changed my audio in Settings > Display & Sound > Digital Audio. I can't remember what they were set to, but my updated settings are as follows:

    HDMI Audio - Bitstream out

    Optical Audio - Bitstream out

    Bitstream format - Dolby Digital

    As a reference, I have HDMI from Xbox One > TV, then an optical out from TV to receiver. I hope this helps!

    It does or at least the next update does.

    Settings-->Display & sound:

    - Digital Audio:

    1. HDMI audio (stereo uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed, Bitstream out)

    2. Optical audio (Off, Stereo uncompressed, Bitstream out)

    -if u select Bitstream out (DTS Digital Surround, Dobly Digital)

    try the xbox one sound settings (hdmi audio) to bitstream out, that worked for mine, then change the bitstream settings in the lower box to your preffered settings. hope that helps
