Why the games does not detect my gold subscription?

We had an active Gold subscription and my son tried the Game pass for a month and then cancelled it but now we don't have anything and we are only 5 months into our year of Gold. Why do we not have anything now?

If you're sharing your One with anyone who does have a gold subscription, that may be why you're able to download those games. But yes, as Daft said, you need a full gold subscription. Trials don't change your account status to gold.

If you have an active gold subscription and sign in with that account on any console you have all the benefits of the gold subscription.

If someone has a gold subscription and the "other" xbox is their home console that may be why you appear to have gold on one but not the other.

Actually, the 1 month free trial allows you to get the games with gold. The only possible reason why your gold is not reflecting on the console is it needs to be refreshed. Try deleting then re-downloading your profile back.

For you smudge2631, I would suggest contacting support to check your subscription status. It might be on a temporary suspension if the console can't detect your gold even though you know that you are paying monthly for gold.
