why the frick is the invites grayed out?

So, whenever i try to invite someone when im on pc its grayed out no matter what AND INVITES TO GAMES DON'T WORK THAT MY FRIENDS, DID so what do i do to fix this problem?

Same problem here, I bring Xbox Game Bar and I can't invite anybody

My NAT type is Open

I have appropriate Game pass subscription (Ultimate)

Still grayed out

please check your privacy and safety settings here:
http://account.xbox.com/settings

to see if all related settings are set to enabled/allowed.

If settings were changed, then be sure to Sign out and Sign back in again on the device.

What game are you playing exactly?

What game mode are you playing? Some game modes don't support inviting players to that specific game mode.

Do you have a working Gold subscription? Check this at

Hi Garre1, are you under Xbox Live Gold sub ? Are you in a game that allow invit other people ? People who were invited were online ?
