Codes sometimes generate by service outages, so you should check first if xbox live is working instead of looking for that code. It could be when you tried to renew your subscription that Xbox Live was not working well.

If you can calm down and explain a little better your problem, we can help you. You say that you cant redeem a code of Xbox Live Gold or that you cant buy it from the main store? Also, you have the app to try if web and console does not work.

Also, there is no need to talk like that. Im sorry to hear that you have some troubles but problems exist everywhere, have a little of patience.

Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at

I'm getting the same thing too, status code 80169D94. My xbox live status has a service alert on it too which i don't really get at all why i have a service alert on my account. I can't add any Microsoft Points to my account or redeemed any at all.

If you don't have a gold account you don't deserve ANY of the perks it offers in my opinion. Also, you can't beg for codes on the forums.
