Use Blind Eye, but Im sure you know this. LOL, I will mention that on Black Ops (I think was the game) I always used the SAM as a score streak. I could just "earn it" then throw it out somewhere or in my spawn, and it automatically would shoot down any air
stuff like UAVs or choppers, etc. I would use that again if it were available.

Interesting thing about the current game (Advanced Warfare) is I see very few advanced Killstreaks during the course of a match. When I do see a Paladin for example, it 99/100 came from a care package.

About the only thing I like about the game is that there is very little camping (maps just don't allow a person to do it easily.

Here is the fix that I keep begging for/offering up.

Make the objective game types have zero points given for kills.

UNLESS: protecting an objective, taking an objective or if the person killed is holding the bomb, flag etc... Kill confirmed kills should only count if you actually get the flag. Picking up the random tags would also count, just not as much.

Can you imagine the chaos and fun those game types would be when those sit back and kill the people running for the objective no longer count or go toward KDR or SPM... the whole team would be more engaged in the objective

Why Scorestreaks are bad for Call of Duty
I have spawned inside a building , with an enemy coming down the stairs , killed before I even knew where I was ..

I dont think people are hanging around spawn points , on purpose , just the spawn system is bad .

At least a few second of god mode would let you have Some chance to defend yourself , or get out of the way of killstreaks.
That. That is what I am talking about, exactly, when I am talking about the spawn killing. You get me. I think the invincibility/god mode would be a great idea though, hopefully it gets implemented in an update or the next Call of Duty... Probably not though...
Spawns are very controllable in CoDs. The "spawning in" gets very chaotic and erratic when YOUR team is spread all over the map. I have been killed by a bombing run three times before. It killed me (on one end of map),
I spawned in really fast and it killed me again (near middle of map), then I spawned in again towards the other end of the map and it got me again. I do notice that I can take some damage some of the time when initially spawning in. It does take a "team" or
communication, but the spawns are very easily controllable.
I agree. But I don't think we are on the same page, lol

What I was trying to point out was the fact that the enemy, if they know what they are doing, can push your entire team back even when you have communication and then, without moving or ceasing fire, kill you by shooting in the direction of your spawn
point constantly (usually through walls). I'm sure you have experienced this at least once, it was probably the worst in Black Ops II, not sure if you've played it.
I was watching Ali-A the other day and I would bet that at least 1/2 of his kills and other good COD players come from these kill streaks. I quit trying to shoot down the warships when I would just be killed too fast either
from other team rushers/snipers or the warship itself. The Paladin, in my opinion is way over-powered. I think even more so that the AC130.
That brings up a good idea actually... The killstreaks kill me straight out of spawn pretty often, usually before it is even possible to reach cover. I think the next Call of Duty should have some sort of timer on it. Once you spawn, although vulnerable
to other players, killstreak/scorestreaks can not kill you until a certain amount of time has pass (if the streaks even still exist in the manor they do now, which you all know I am against).
Use Blind Eye, but Im sure you know this. LOL, I will mention that on Black Ops (I think was the game) I always used the SAM as a score streak. I could just "earn it" then throw it out somewhere or in my spawn, and

That is a great point. However, some later editions of the game removed any ability to take down a killstreak (e.g. no weapons can lock on in Ghosts). It'd be nice if there was an easier way to take out the streaks, such as if you can not obtain a
SAM. Blind Eye can be used, but it does have some vulnerabilities.

One word. Hooyah!

That is a great idea, actually. If they stopped (or lessened) the points earned for killing, then people would also stop prioritizing killstreaks/scorestreaks that only get you kills and don't help with the objective, which would make the game much more
enjoyable.

ALSO - Apologies for the long post. Tried to get as many responses in as possible, its been a while since I was able to check Why Scorestreaks are bad for Call of Duty :)

Edit: The post is so long the signature has to be on the side instead of under it X'D

Just wanted to say these are all great points. I kinda think that spawn trapping should be dealt with though. I mean its fun and all but it kinda goes against the point of the game too, don't ya think?
