Why no silencers for pistols?

One aspect of TF that slightly annoys me is the lack of silencers for pistols... I get that not having a silencer for your main weapon gives you more power but also makes you a target on the minimap... but for games like Attrition, where half the point is
to kill NPCs (Grunts, Spectors), why not let the Pilot have a silencer for the secondary so that when they have to blow away a group of Grunts they don't appear on the radar? Just a thought...

I agree with most of your points except for the silencer thing. Why should silencers hinder a gun that much? Hell, they already cause so much less damage its annoying.

 

is the modding gone yet?

Just to let everyone know there is a new mod out that i was hearing about last night.

it is a modded lobby for multiplayer where dual fmgs have red dots and silencers, and desert eagles have no kick and they dual wield with silencers as well. so any secondary will be modded if this lobby somehow gets released.

Agreed. I really only use the pistol to finish someone off if I run out of ammo with my main gun.

 

I agree as well. Maybe as a burn card, if not an attachment.

 

Now as soon as i kill an enemy pilot, i go switch my pistol for his weapon... More often than not this leaves me running around with my CAR smg and his silenced R101C carbine, just food for thought for the rest of you.
