    Why my xbox one s dont let any signal


    I have problem to get signal to my tv and my controller. My console is on but its shows nothing. it turns on but only thing i hear is the fan. I tried to troubleshooting but its not showing anything. Hdmi cable is in the right place but nothing.

    4K/1440p HDR

    Microsoft locked hdr to 4k so if ur monitor dont accept 4k signals ( tick allow 4k box in settings must be selected for hdr) it doesnt work on 1080p 1440p displays usually only if they accept 4k signals. Because microsoft locked it since xbox one s and
    one x. It is hard to understand why they not allow it now because they have xbox series s 1440p 120hz hdr console right?

    Hello Markymalarky!

    Your xbox has an internal drive and you can record your gameplay internally, but not tv signal. So the short anwser is no because the tv signal wont be sended to your console .

    But,If you really want that your tv record it (dont know why), you will need a special monitor for that that can record it like this one https://www.atomos.com/sumo19m but i dont
    recommend it just for that, it reallly good one, buy i use it for my for with video. Yoy can easyly record tv signal in a cheaper way

    Xbox One S and Epson 5040UB

    The reason is because the xbox one s hdmi chipset outputs a signal of 18gbps, where as the epson is only able to receive a 10.2 gbps signal. The rest is basically cut off, which is why it wont work. Its like trying to fit an apple into a water bottle.

    I can confirm that a 4k signal won't passthrough my Xbox One S either. I've tried my DirecTV C61k (4k capable), TiVo Bolt and Amazon 4k FireTV. The One S won't pass through 4k from any of them. This sucks and is the MAIN reason I went ahead and got an
    Xbox One S. If I wanted to stick with separate inputs for my DirecTV and Xbox One I would have just stuck with my original Xbox One. Not happy...
