why my xbox one isn't detecting my halo 3 disc why tjis has to be long ?

Kindly check if the disc has any scratches or damages which may cause issues on why the console isn't detecting your license for the game even though it's already installed.

Also, if there are no scratches or damages. Uninstall the game then reinstall it via the disc itself by inserting the disc.

That is only a problem on Xbox One. All other systems include the updates on the game discs that require them.

Requiring a connection to specific servers which will someday be taken down (just like the original Xbox servers were) to play single-player games is extremely short-sighted. I still have my original Xbox and it continues to work great despite Microsoft
having dropped support years ago. My Xbox 360 will also continue to work after Microsoft has dropped support (I can even update it long after Microsoft drops support). As long as the policies that Xbox One has now remain in place that will not be an option
for it.

Why are there no offline profiles? Why aren't system updates included on discs? Why is the Xbox 360 capable of both of those things but the Xbox One isn't?

Its possible to have 2 discs, battlefield 3 has 2 so why not Halo which is a much bigger game?

It isn't that difficult to understand why MS comments on one and not the other. Halo 3 is a released product. MS has yet to announce a new console. MS does not comment on unannounced products.

The new Tomb Raider doesn't use the XGD3 disc layout, it uses an older one, so that would be why it isn't spinning as long.
