Why Keyboard has no shortcut to open Party chat text?

I bought a keyboard to chat with friends in the party chat using my keyboard to type in the message. What I notice is there is no shortcut on the keyboard in the Xbox setting to get to the active party chat text option. I like to press Win + .... or any combination to directly open my party chat text. I should be able to start typing by pressing enter to open the Text entry box.

This is a huge missed feature on Microsoft. Keyboards are getting more and more popular. Party chat is will be the biggest benefit and it will be well welcome by people with disabilities. Now they will be able to quickly open party chat and type a message instead of digging through the Xbox menu- party chat- text chat- new message. It is just too many steps. I hate that I have to juggle my controller and keyboard just open the part where I can type.

When i use the keyboard shortcut for the overlay, it opens up ok but it doesnt let me join anyone's parties or games.

How do you talk to Minecraft support?

Minecraft includes an option to use text-to-speech for chat during any game session. To enable text-to-speech for chat: Use the Accessibility Menu in Settings to enable text-to-speech for chat.
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B at any point during a game session to enable text-to-speech for chat.

It has to ask you for permission every time due to privacy laws and concerns.

If you're unhappy with the keyboard shortcuts, you can change the way you open the game bar like this and you can use whatever you like instead of Windows G:

To create customized keyboard shortcuts, press Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar, select Settings > Shortcuts,
enter your shortcuts, then press Save.

I just read that the caht box will also be available in the game. Thats great as I prefer to text with strangers instead of inviting everybody to a Party Chat...

Any USB Keyboard works with the Xbox One so texting shouldn't be a Problem to connect with others.
