Why isn't Xbox game bar (Windows key+G) working?

Sorry to hear your Xbox Game bar isn't working.

First make sure your PC is up to date. If you want to install the upgrade now, select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. If the upgrade is available, you can choose to install it.

Here are some tips from the Troubleshoot Xbox Game Bar on Windows support article.

• Check your Game Bar settings. Press the Start button, then choose Settings. Go to Gaming > Xbox Game bar, then turn on Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar.
  
• When playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar. Select the Enable gaming features for this app to record gameplay when trying to use gaming features like broadcasting or capturing.
  
• Your game may be running in full-screen mode. See the “How do I record a game if it’s in full-screen mode?” section, above.
  
• Make sure you’ve updated your graphics drivers. See: Hardware requirements for capturing on Windows
  
• Try choosing a different display option for your game, such as borderless windows.
  
• The game might be blocking custom keyboard shortcuts. See the “Why don't my keyboard shortcuts for Game Bar work?” section, below.
  
• A small number of PCs and accessories don’t support the Windows logo key. Check your device manufacturer’s website for more info.
  
• If your keyboard doesn’t have the Windows logo key built in, create a custom keyboard shortcut to open Game Bar. Press the Start button, select Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game bar, and then enter a new shortcut.
  

Make sure you're using the game bar on one monitor. Currently Xbox Game Bar supports one monitor at a time only.

Additionally, you can try to repair the app.

• Press the Start button, then choose Settings. Go to Apps > Apps & features then search for Xbox Game Bar
  
• Click the three dots (...) on the right side of Xbox Game Bar > Advanced options
  
• Scroll down and click Repair. If that doesn't work, click Reset instead.

Windows key plus G will bring up the game bar

Hello! You could try getting the Xbox game bar on PC and adding your friends and contacting them on that. You can access Xbox game bar by pressing the Windows key and the “G” key at the same time
