Why isnt raytracing in Minecraft on X/S after over 4 years?

Exnos21, the Beta versions of the games are precisely for testing that may or may not be released in the final version of the game, in the case mentioned by Minecraft Support officially reported at the time:

"The previous Minecraft Preview build available to Xbox Insiders inadvertently included prototype code for raytracing support on Xbox consoles. This early prototype code has been removed from Preview and doesn't signal near future plans to bring raytracing support to consoles."

It would have been useful if the above Independent Advisor would have done some research before replying with incorrect information. I'm pretty sure the topic creator was asking about Raytracing on Series X|S hardware. The link provided was for PC, which has had RT support for over 2 years now.

for those of you who didnt play cod 4 you missed out big time, 7 years on and its still my most played cod and people who say to others they are bored with cod because theyve been playing it 10 years or so, that isnt the case..its just got worse over the
years hence the reason why im still playing cod 4 and waw after all these years.

I own the digital x/s version and had it installed (with HD assets) on the series s back in dec, just bought a series x this week transfered my games over looking forward to turning on raytracing to find it nowhere to be downloaded not on the install files or anything. Weirdly though I do have the install of HD assets still but that may have been from transfer between consoles instead of downloading it from the Internet.

Series consoles have many advanced features beyond the One generation, while the overall compute power may be less, what it can do with it is very different.

Minecraft is deceptively brutal on hardware due to the thousands and thousands of objects in the world, it's one of the reasons why raytracing is still not enabled.
