    Why isn't my Xbox live sharing between local accounts?


    My brother just bought Xbox live on his account so he could play GTA V (Which is my game, bought under my account.) My Xbox live has recently expired so he just bought it on his account thinking that it would transfer over to mine. He cannot play GTA Online
    because he has the "This account does not have access to GTA Online" Error. If you press A it brings him to buy Xbox live (he already did it) he hits continue and it brings him to the Xbox Live home page where it shows the free games you can get, And it says
    at the top "12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription", So he has Xbox live no doubt about it, but he cannot play GTA V nor is the Xbox live shared to my account, both of our accounts are on the same Xbox. He purchased The live with his debit card

    ive heard from friends that if I have Xbox live gold subscription on my xbox, if I make a new profile it will just autmoatically share to that one but when I finally made a new one, my gold isn't sharing to it. why not? does it make a difference if I'm game
    sharing with a friend and his console is my home console?

    Network problems.

    Yeah that's the problem. The xbox connection is showing up as disabled, and I can't figure out how to enable it. There isn't an option for it, and double clicking it, which usually works, isn't doing anything. I have windows 7, and bridging the connection
    has never worked in the past. The sharing isn't working either. There are three other local area connections, and I have no idea why.

    I would suggest that this relates to the outage on Xbox Live. Your savegame is saved in the cloud hence your progress can be shared between your devices. As you are seeing the same error on different devices and operating systems its highly likely that
    the issue isn't local to you.

    What do you mean by gameshare with gold?

    My home Xbox allows you to share on the console, within your household, Xbox Live and games that you own. The feature isn't meant to be used in a gameshare way between different households.

    You say uou have factory reset, this would remove the My Home Xbox feature and the account with Live gold would need to be put on again.

    Sharing account details and login information, is a violation of the code of conduct and can result in Enforcement.

    Sorry, but nothing can be transferred between accounts. That's partially why sharing of accounts is not actually allowed.
