Why isn't my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller recognized for "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty" on pc...

I've been playing Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on PC Game Pass since the day it was released with no problems with my Xbox elite series 2 controller paired through bluetooth. As of 3/13/23 whenever I start the game, it no longer recognizes my controller although it recognizes the controller with no problem if I start the game through cloud gaming. I've tried plugging the controller to the computer using its Usb-C cord and it navigates through my computer with no problems but the game still doesn't recognize it. It is as well fully updated through the Xbox accessories app. I've also tried even unplugging the keyboard and the mouse and still unable to recognize the controller. Ive unpaired and re paired the controller as well tried a brand new Xbox wireless controller and the game still doesn't recognize the controllers. When I boot up another game on game pass such as Gungrave GORE the controller is recognized and works with no problems. Im wondering if there any other potential fixes or if this is possibly an error caused by the gaming dev team of the game?
