    Why isn’t my Logitech c922 pro stream working with the capture & share tab on Xbox?


    I own a new Xbox x and a pre owned Xbox one s.

    Purchased a Logitech c922 pro stream, when plugging it in it will flash white indicating it’s got power to it, but when attempting to start my stream and choose camera location it does not access or turn on the webcam at all, it will sit on the preview loading screen even though the switch is set to camera on and the webcam works fine thru Skype, the camera app on Xbox, and on a laptop it works fine as well. The capture and share tab is the only thing that crashes the webcam and won’t access it. All my settings are correct I have checked them all several times now, I have tried both USB ports front and back on both consoles. I have tried a power cycle multiple times on both consoles as well as a hard reset. Nothing has fixed this issue and no one from Xbox support can help as I have already called and messaged with them. It seems to be an issue with the Xbox and the webcam not connecting when trying to use the capture and share tab. It does not seem to be an issue with the ports, the webcam itself, or any updates needed to the webcam as the Logitech website does not have anything listed to download for it. I spent $100 on a new webcam for it to not work at all. Sending it back to GameStop is going to be more time and trouble than it is worth and wouldn’t be guaranteed to fix the issue anyways seeing as the webcam works fine.

    Yes a webcam will work with your console. Microsoft recommends Logitech C920 HD Pro or Logitech C922 HD Pro Stream. In the beginning I just used an regular webcam and it worked.

    Im not sure the Logitech Brio is compatible with the Xbox.
