    Why isn't my gamertag allowed?


    Hey

    For awhile I've been wanting to change my gamertag to "" but when I go to check for the availability then the couldn't change because someone else has the gamertag or it's not allowed. I went to go search if there was a person with the user but couldn't find one. Why is this name not allowed?

    I checked both ways (with spaces and no spaces) and no results came up once more.

    Hi there Krimzem welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well I advice to try changing the characters like ë instead of e or ż instead of z. Sometimes changing a character allows us to use some gamertags!

    Remember that the system doesn't count spaces. So "gamertag" and "G A M E R T A G" would be considered the same tag. If it's saying someone already has it there is nothing you can do and support will not be able to change it manually.
