Why isn’t my game share working?

Game sharing outside of your physical household is against the rules & can lead to enforcement action or even a console ban for repeated violations.

Unless that’s a new thing I don’t think that’s true because I’ve been game sharing with them on and off for about a year and it was just working a couple days ago

You said the live subscription is under his account?

If that is the case, then the problem is that his console is set as home xbox. YOUR console is the one that needs to be the home xbox in order for his subscription to be shared with you
