Why isnt Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Need for Speed Underground on the backwards...

Halo Combat Evolved original Xbox version is not backward compatible, probably because the anniversary remastered version for the Xbox 360 and also is available as part of the Master Chief Collection are playable on the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X|S. As for Halo 2 original Xbox version, again it's probably due to the remastered game being part of the Master Chief collection. NFS Underground not being backward compatible is probably down to licences being expired and EA not renewing them, and also not allowing the game to be part of the backward compatibility program.

The original Xbox and Xbox 360 backward compatibilty program has ended and no more of those games will be added. Before you decide to purchase any more original Xbox and Xbox 360 games, it's always a good idea to check the backward compatibilty list here first https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backward-compatibility

They are except for horizon 3 because it's a xbox one game

Halo.can be played if you bought it on disk

You CANNOT buy or download halo.games because they are delisted

It has to be installed from ready to install

What do you mean you recently bought halo games they have been delisted since march

If you bought it on disk you just install and it download the patches packs online.

Nfs underground well no as that's an EA issue

You have to play it with ea play
