Hello, is your console still under warranty? If so it would be free to fix. If not it will give a standard price to fix console!

How do you know it's a common issue?

Just because you see it mentioned on a few forum posts doesn't mean it's common.

I know a few people who have had xbox since day one and their consoles work fine.

If the xbox one had a common failure problem like the 360 did then it would be all over the press.

As for refusing to fix it then yes it's annoying when your console breaks after the warranty expires but you can't expect them to fix problems for free forever. If they did that then electronics would have to be far more expensive than they are now just
so the manufacturer can afford repairs.

Also you seem to imply that your console was faulty while still under warranty. Why the hell didn't you get it fixed then?

If I even suspected my console was faulty when it was still under warranty I would have got it repaired before the warranty expired

If the console is new, it should be under warranty. You can contact Xbox support and give them your Console ID and Serial, they should issue a replacement for you.

If the console is not under warranty, then Xbox will require you to pay a certain amount to get the hardware fixed.

if your console is still under the 1 year warranty then they should not be refusing a replacement, Also you need to be the original owner from brand new of the console for the warranty to stand.

Have you tried getting a warranty replacement through the online service and warranty centre
