Why is Xbox participating in social scoring in the USA?

    To whom it may concern,

I received a ban for not being polite to some anonymous person sending me a message. If you dont want to hear something, dont send someone a message you do not know. This was not a public forum. They sent me a private message multiple times.

If this platform is just for children, they should have parental controls enabled so they cannot message random strangers.

If they are not children, they should stop acting like them.

Luckily, although I am 46, I am just a sarcastic gamer.

So, is social scoring now part of Xbox and messaging? If so, I will discontinue ever using it again.

    Thanks,

    :)

    Hi XaberRebax,

Welcome to Xbox Community Forums. We appreciate for sharing your concern with us and we hope that you are doing well today.

The answer of your question is "No".

Best suggestion if you receive a random message from someone you do not know is to delete the message or report the user as spam. you can also block them.

With regards to the ban, it depends on the type of enforcement action or suspension you've received, your case may qualify for our appeal process. Just to take note that Xbox device bans aren’t eligible for a case review. For more info about device bans, see: Xbox device suspensions and bans | Xbox Support .

We hope we informed you well.

    I broke 100,000 Gamerscore (cheevos)

Why not make a thread thanking soldiers that give their lives so you can play Xbox to get a score like that? This crap just makes you come off as a narcissistic douche without a social life.

Why is it that MS or Xbox does not have a direct phone number to call?

It depends on the country but normally if it is not in your accounts or official social accounts, support from xbox usa provides it to you

Okay never mind I see you need a certain score to participate.

Try and get involved in the social side of multiplayer games. For example join guilds and group activities, participate in the chat if there is one.
