Why is Xbox live online head 2 head in sports games so toxic?

What's happening to me on xbox live right now is not what xbox live was built for back in 2002. It was about competition but also community. I understand some people enjoy games differently but it seems like the person on the other end doesn't understand
they are playing with a real human being and not a computer.

I respect everyone and don't use cheats or glitches to win.

I try to make the game enjoyable for the person on the other end. I try not to quit games but I am getting depressed and it's lasting all day long if it effects my long term mental health then something is wrong here.

but I don't understand why in NBA 2k19 or NBA live 19 at the end of games it's all of sudden time to rub in the win in the other persons face. by doing statement dunks and plays. like it's time to show off and make the other person on the other end feel
bad because they already lost and this person is going out of their way to make them feel worst. no you have no right to make another person feel bad. you have every right to enjoy a win but not at another person expense.

Can I report these people for unsporting conduct? because it's bad sportsmanship to do this. in the real NBA if you started doing dunks at end of games in blow out wins. the other players will be angry it's an unwritten rule in the NBA you don't do that
take your win and move along.

Cheating in Madden 13?

No but that's why I don't play online head to head. I learned my lesson years ago with EA Sports. It just got me mad, pissed me off and ruined the game for me.

Has anything changed between the time it was working and when it stopped?

I would suggest running a network connection test, and letting us know what it finds. Also, what is the make & model of both your router & modem?
