    Why is xbox beta app downloads so incredibly slow on PC?


    I've been trying to download Gears Tactics for over 2 days now. A 30 gig game is an hour download for me on steam. The download fluctuates wildly between like 150 kb/s to 3 mb/s and then eventually disconnects with an error and I need to click continue on the download.

    I can download perfectly from steam/uplay/epic store it's only the xbox beta app that is having a problem downloading.

    Is there a fix? Is this a known issue and nobody can download shit right now?

    PC Xbox Game Pass - Slow Download Speeds

    I'm on gigabit internet as well.

    Xbox app on PC is the only slow app when it comes to downloads. Consistently caps out at about ~22MBPS (~175mbps) where as plenty of other game launchers such as Steam/Uplay/Battle.net pull upwards of ~100MBPS (~800mbps). I'm on a gigabit connection. Why is the Xbox app so slow to download and install games? Its pathetic.

    Which beta app are you having issue downloading? The Xbox Console Companion App (Beta) or the Xbox Game Pass for PC app (Beta)? You'll need to have he beta companion app downloaded first before you can download the PC game pass app (beta) and you will also
    need to have Windows update version 1903.

    Restart your PC and then make sure you have the requirements to download the PC game pass app.

    PC, you’ll need the beta version of the Xbox app. Go to App Store and download the beta version of Xbox

    Downloading is INCREDIBLY SLOW

    hey there iateaturtle, sorry to hear about your new download issue with trine 2. could be a few different things

    check your hard drive, test your xbox connection, powercycle your home network, or put trine 2 into your download queue from xbox.com

    hang in there and do what you can for troubleshooting
