Cod Cold War runs amazing at hdmi override 1080 120 hz. However I can’t enable VRR or hdr on the Xbox so I don’t even know if it looks as good as it should? I have VRR enabled on monitor but I don’t think it matters if it isn’t selected on the Xbox as well. And yes my monitor supports it through hdmi up to 240 hz I have a very quality monitor Asus VG259QM. But what is really concerning is going back to regular Xbox one games at 60 FPS it looks absolutely SLOPPY on the series X. Does this have to do with my eyes already being accustomed to the 120 FPS that the 60 FPS is just garbage? Or is it the fact that I have my Xbox set to hdmi override in order to enable 1080 at 120 and there’s no VRR selected? Do I literally have to switch my console settings to auto detect to go back down to 1080 at 60 hz in order to select VRR for regular Xbox one games to look decent again? I had my Xbox one X at hdmi override as well on 120 hz but my 60 FPS games looked just fine. Now all of a sudden on the Xbox series X the multiplayer doesn’t perform well at all on these games they are so choppy and slow frames and sloppy looking. Unless it’s just my eyes really wanting 120 FPS....

Xbox Series X Frame Rate Issue

When I set it to 120Hz by overriding it, the VRR option gets grayed out. When I set it back down to 60 Hz, i can enable VRR again. On 60Hz with or without VRR enabled, there is no stuttering. I also have tried all of these iterations with free sync enabled and disabled on my monitor.

My new tv supports 120hz but xbox says it doesn’t

I already responded to you and told you, your TV doesn't support 120 Hz or VRR

Please consult your manual for supported modes

I do not have an option to go to 120 hz it will let me do 1080p but doesn’t give the option to go to 120 hz but looking now it has a hdmi 1.4 will that run 120 hz and if I didn’t get it to work will a hdmi to display port connector run 120hz with the the series s

Hello, i have a xbox one x with the Samsung C27HG70QQ and if i put it in 1440 it changes the hz to 60. it only stays at 120 when its in 1080

    what is faster game play hdr10 @60, 1440 @60 or 1080 @120?

also has anyone tried a display port to hdmi cable?

Xbox currently does not support monitors in the range of 61-119Hz. Will the Series S/X support this? Can The One X be Software Updated?

Ok, just me make sure I'm understanding you correctly.

My HP Omen supports VRR from 48 Hz ~ 75 Hz. So, as long as VRR is on it will run the games up to 75Hz, despite the console being set to 60Hz?

I thought that the Xbox had to detect 120Hz in order to run the games at the higher refresh rate? For instance most of the games run at 4k/60 on the XSX, but you have to enable 120Hz to get the 1440p/120 output from the game? Like Dirt 5 for instance?

Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

I was under the impression I was losing out on the upper end of my range. Thus my VRR was actually only 48 Hz ~ 60 Hz
