WHY IS THIS SO SLOWWWWWW....

Just bought the XBOX ONE console tonight, bought Ghosts and BF4, Went through all the setup, had a update when I logged onto xbox live, anyway, I put COD Ghosts in and it said it had to load 1250mb and its taking FOREVER. almost 2 hours and its only at 23%
anyone know what the deal is?? Does this happen for every game? Thanks in Advance. -John

An observation I have made in relation to getting signed out on this site

Not had any problem with being signed out, no matter what part of the site I am browsing.

Just seems really slowwwwww when updating!

Xbox One games will load the patch from the server prior to installing from the disc. I would recommend to switch to wired if your wireless in increase your throughput to your machine.

Additionally you can disable your network connection so it installs from disc first, but ultimately your going to need that patch. There are some large patches on some of the games.

This is a joke. Xbox told me it can take 3 hours minimum and that the patches download first. I had to reinstall Battlefield 4 and asked Xbox how big are the patches/updates for the game... They didn't know and referred me to EA. they also said once it gets
to 50% it would install from the disc and be much faster... EA told me 5GB, my connection is not the fastest at 6Mbps, so this shouldn't have taken excessive time.... This took 15 hours 30 minutes, again 15 hours 30 minutes... I feel like I've been lied to
and am stuck in the middle between Xbox and the game developers.

XBOX WHATS GOING ON, 5GB DOESN'T NORMALLY TAKE ME THAT LONG.

Gotta be the internet connection. I have NEVER had to wait more than 25-30 minutes for a game. And that's on the long side of things. I usually am ready to play in under 20.

I have 50 up and 12 down, wireless.

My games load in about 20mins try pulling your internet and downloading then or installing sorry

6 mbps is not a very fast speed for downloading. The updates for BF4 tend to be quite large.
