Why is there no genuine way to know when your xbox has an update for people in preview...

you are in the preview program, that means you have requestd to be sent a lot of updates to test them, updates that may also cause issues with your console, why did you ask to be in the program when you clearly don't like getting updates?

Why not..............oh I don't know................try unsubscribing from the preview program? its not difficult, there is an option in the preview program sub menu, that way you'll only get updates once or twice a month at most, plus they wont cause issues
with your console.

The sudden influx of invite requests all over the forums is no doubt due to the backwards compability announcement at E3, i dont think alot fully appreciate what they are wanting to sign up to, its all about testing so the update works when released to everyone,
and functionality can be and has been affected while trying to get updates working correctly before they go public. There is only a small selection of backwards compatible games to preview and once its tested they plan to launch to everyone with 100 games
available to start with. If people genuinely want to contribute to the preview program good on them, if its just for the limited amount of backwards compatible games available your probably better off just waiting it out

I am also having this problem and everyone I know also has this issue. For me it started when I got the June update preview. Are you in the update preview program too?

If you are, I suggest that you report your experience here. If you aren't in the update preview then it must be a global issue and if it is then these are normally addressed pretty fast.

Either way, it's not anything to worry about and it hasn't been caused by anything
you have done. Just hang in there and it should be fixed shortly.

Yeah, I'm xbox is registered to the preview and also have the updates. I thought it was because of all the people signing up for the preview. That's why I waiting so long to say something.

I download what i call keepers. If i know i'm gona trade i will get the hard copy. But this is irrelevent as i want to know is there a genuine reason why microsoft charge 20% more for a digital copy of a game that has virtually no overheads other than that
of its creation costs. Unlike its hard copy counterpart. The only reason there can be if there is no genuine reason is greed. As we all know this is microsofts main comandment "thou shall pay through the nose the highest amount aplicable". I'm not complaining
if thats what your getting at i simply want to know why if there is a genuine reason.
