    Why is the xCloud demo only on Android?


    I’ve had an Xbox since like late 2015 and I’ve always wanted to be able to play Xbox games on my phone. I just recently realized there was a demo open to the public for project xCloud, and so I was extremely excited. BUT I just realized it’s only for Android, and now I’m mad since I have an iPhone. Will there be a demo for iPhone?

    Microsoft already works on so called Project xcloud. You can play on any device xbox games. Watch the latest Xbox Inside VOD , there was a demo with FH4 on android mobile

    Is playing xbox games possible without a console? Is projectXcloud up, running and giving any services?

    Xcloud isn't available on PC yet.

    The only way to play via a PC/Laptop is via an Android emulator such as Bluestacks.

    How to Play Xbox Games on PC With BlueStacks and xCloud

    This should work fine on your laptop specs. Remember, Xcloud is a streaming service, all the graphics processing is done server side and sent to your device. That's why it can run on Android phones.

    Streaming should work fine on your laptop but it's not powerful enough to run PC Game Pass titles natively. Your machine is probably one of Dell's flagship 'Inspiron' range from about 3 years ago. Fine for basic productivity, awful for gaming.

    Xcloud

    Microsoft is getting back into the smartphone market, but with Android as its OS instead of a slimmed-down version of Windows. That probably is a significant reason why Android is getting the XCloud beta first, but Microsoft isn't foolish enough to ignore
    iOS. I will be curious to play this on my iPad or iPhone.

    Why do all that when most modern android devices running at least Android 6 OS (Marshmallow)? No need for Microsoft to make their own Android device.

    You can actually run Xcloud on Amazon's inexpensive Fire 10 - (but you'll need side load it on the device). I understand it doesn't work well on the Fire 8 devices though.

    Hi,

    It's not possible yet. Xcloud streaming is only available for Android phones and tablets. My guess is it will be available eventually for streaming to Windows 10. I don't know when that will be.
