Why is the Ultra Edition still 31.99 After getting the Combo pack?

I was given the Combo pack (16.99) as free game from MS, but I thought OK i'll upgrade and pay extra to get the Ultra edition.

Yet it is still £31.99... Really I thought, even my friend went are they joking?

Problems upgrading from Killer Instinct Combo Edition to Ultra Edition

I bought the $20 Combo Edition at launch. Now I want to buy the Ultra Edition for the extra costumes and original Killer Instinct. It seems to me that the Ultra Edition should cost me $20, not the $40 it is listed for in the store on Xbox One. I don't
want to pay for the Combo Breaker Edition content twice. Is there a patch coming for this? Or is there something else I can do the purchase the Ultra Edition after I paid for the Combo Edition?

GG, just the Ultra Edition, and it is $20 off if you have already purchased the combo edition or whatever. Well, that costs you $20, so you're still paying the full price of $40 for the Ultra Edition.

 

It's always been like this - Just because I buy a game, it doesn't mean that I will get a discount when the ultra/anniversary/HD-remake/etc. is released.

 

i just bought 5 characters due to the menu page being so dam confusing .yet they said u will not have 2 pay iver 20 dollars 4 the combo pack please help

 

I also read that if you had purchased multiple characters you would be able to pay a "top up" fee to get all of them, like you said, never having to pay more than $20. However, I've gone to buy the combo breaker pack and it's still full price. Spoke to Customer
Support and they weren't aware of that offer though and said the only way to save money is to buy the combo breaker pack first.
