Why is the toubleshooting support language so unclear?

TL;DR: Instructions unclear, **** stuck in toaster.

It says to "copy the $SystemUpdate file" but there is no such file. There's a FOLDER by that name but troubleshooting instructions say files must be placed directly in the flash drive's root directory. Which of these directly contradicting instructions is accurate? WHY DOES THIS NEED TO BE ASKED?

Troubleshooting instructions need to be clear and accurate. Leave nothing to interpretation. Take no chances. Proofread everything. Verify it. Proofread it again.

Editing to add: turns out I didn't need to do the OSU anyway. Hail Fing Satan. Still, though, Microsoft seriously needs to get their **** together. And they wonder why their browser only ever gets used to dig its own grave in spite of how much they say they've improved it. We can't trust what they say.
