    why is the option 'you can see and share content' missing from the game content settings?


    I have spent days going through all the settings to allow my son to play multiplayer games on xbox one. I have followed all the advice allowing multiplayer games and join clubs etc. I have even chatted on the forum to ask if it's to do with the xbox live
    gold subscription and was told that it would allow me to enable realms on minecraft and multiplayer games for games such as roblox.

    so we now have an xbox live gold subscription but the settings are still blocking access: 'shared content: denied'

    followed by: you can join multiplayer games > Allow

    you can see and share content > Everybody

    the latter is not in the options to set.

    We are about to return the xbox one as it has been more hassle and trouble than any of the 'benefits' it is supposed to bring.

    please can someone shed some light onto this?

    User Generated Content

    My son couldn't play Fortnite PVP because his account was not set up to play user generated content and it directed us to the restriction settings on xbox.com. Well, we looked and could not find any there, at account.xbox.com, or at account.microsoft.com

    However, if you go back to the console and log in with the parental account it works fine.

    From the parent account, you can view the restrictions on your family member accounts. There are more options there than are available on xbox.com and one has to do with shared content. It looks like if you allow your child to see content generated and shared by
    others, others can also see any content your child shares.

    Not sure if this is the best way, but it worked.
    We are having the same problem! Where is the shared content option pls.

    Settings issue for Fortnite

    Hey John!

    You can adjust your Privacy & Online safety settings from the console. go into your Settings > under the "Account" section you will see an option for "Privacy and Online Saftey". and then Xbox Live Privacy > View details and customize. Then the option that
    says "Game Content" you would need to set the one for "Seeing and Sharing user created content" to "Everybody" so that he can play Fortnite!

    We have just encountered exactly the same issue. Would love to know what the resolution is.
