    Why is the name Alethea or A1ethea or AletheaBug giving me this gamertag isn't allowed but...


    What is it about Alethea or A1ethea or AletheaBug that is completely disallowed? It gives me "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one."

    But if I try JitterBug, it suggests JitterBug1080 but Alethea1080 is still "this gamertag isn't allowed".

    It must be something about Alethea. I believe she is the Greek goddess of truth. But is the name used for a character in a game? Or used by a popular gamer? Or is the name copywritten for some reason?

    There are a couple different ways to spell her name. But a better error code description would be nice.

    So, I went to gamertag.net and checked out AletheaBug and it says "Looks like AletheaBug is available for use!" but I go to change her gamertag at social.xbox.com/changegamertag and it says "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try another one." I'm so confused
    as to what is acceptable and what isn't.

    I checked gamertag.net and the first two version of Alethea were already used as gamertags. I tried Truth2Alethea and it said that tag was available.

    If it says it isn't allowed then there's nothing you can do i'm afraid.

    Without knowing what the gamertag is no one could give you a possible reason as to why it isn't allowed.
