    Why is the headset chat mixer locked/greyed out?


    I've tried restarting my xbox however it is still locked. I have already tried googling some solutions, but had no luck. I have tried my headset and another pair of earphones, and have tried putting them in slowly but it still doesnt work. This has happened the past but after restarting my Xbox ut usully resolves its self. I dont use an xbox branded headset (I cant remember the brand) and I have an xbox 1 s and the control that came with it.

    Please help this has been happening all day

    never mind I found it. if I do this will it erase all my minecraft worlds, sims saves etc?

    Hi its been a while, I couldn't get back to this page and forgot about emails lol. I've tried resetting my console and it hasn't changed anything, the chat mixer is still greyed out and I can't change it. This has happened before and just fixed its self but as you know, it has been over a month. I have also tried it with multiple earbuds/headsets and still no luck.

    Hello SuperGamer3601, in addition to restarting the console you tried some other procedure in the console, if you have not yet tried to do a reset on the console keeping games and App.

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > system > console > system

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note - You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    Hello again, this does not erase your progress, it only reinstalls the system, nor are the games deleted.

    Even the total factory reset does not erase progress because they are saved to your Microsoft cloud account.
