Why is the difference between Xbox One sales and those of the PS4 so big

Dear Microsoft,

For my study I had to chose 1 company and one of their competitors. I chose for Playstation and Xbox.

I have one main question to find out this research and that is why PS3 and Xbox 360 sold almost the same amouth of coppies of their consoles but when the sales of the PS4 and Xbox One started the difference became really big.

Could you tell me what for Xbox is the main reason why PS3 and Xbox 360 sold almost the same but PS4 sold 4 times more coppies than the Xbox One? I am currious what you think is the reason for it.

Ok all those big numbers and specs are cool and all but what do they really mean? Are we going to see a big difference between the two consoles? I doubt it. I'm excited about the Xbox One and I will be buying a PS4 as well but I will probably spend most
of the time on the X-1.

Memory Question

I already have the Xbox One on preorder but I keep thinking about the memory differences between the Xbox One and PS4. DDR3 vs DDR5, thats a big difference in long term performance.

Should I be concerned about this? This is the only thing that would push me over to the PS4, considering the specs are really close.

Just thought this was interesting. In Australia EB Games are advertising PS4 for $549 RRP, and Xbox One for $599. $50 difference is neither here nor there... Wonder why it's so close as opposed to the $100(US) difference between PS4 vs XB1?

I think it would benefit sales of Xbox One if they did, and made a big deal of it. Most people are under the impression that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One when in reality it isn't. It's probably the main reason why people choose the PS4 over
the Xbox One.

I agree but I'm only getting one console so XBOne is the console for me. But I do agree PS4 has a huge advantage
