    Why is my Xbox Series X lagging?


    My Xbox is brand new, yet it lags terribly when I play online games, like Fortnite for example. I recently just switched over from my Nintendo Switch to the Xbox, expecting that performance would be better but it’s worse.

    Hi, I did this and it just made my game lag ten times worse. I don't think it's a network issue, every other device I have runs perfectly fine.

    It can be an issue with your network.

    Please, change your connection DNS.

    Follow these steps:

    Go to Profile and System > Settings

    In the Settings menu, select General > Network settings.

    Select the network you're connected to, then select Advanced settings > Manual

    On the DNS field, input these:

    Primary: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary: 8.8.4.4

    Save settings.

    My Xbox game clips are lagging

    Funny how I haven't had this issue on my xbox one x ever but when I go on my xbox series S then it just starts having the lag spike issues with my captures.
