Why is my Xbox series x having a hard time connecting to my internet?

I suggest you try performing a factory reset while keeping the games and apps on your console. This will update the console and remove all potential errors without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console information.
- Select Reset console.
- Choose Keep games and apps.

Once this is done, you will need to sign in to the console with your Microsoft account credentials. If the problem is with your console, that should fix it.

I have had similar problems with my sons series x dropping internet connection and the only way of curing this was connecting the console directly to the router with an Ethernet Cable. It now works with no issues. I hope this helps.

And to add my sons Xbox one worked perfectly on our WiFi with no issues but the series x has issues, I’ve no idea why it has these issues but the cable sorted it.

The Xbox factory reset on the series X still did not work, it wouldn’t connect to the network. I connected my original Xbox one (2014) back up to my monitor and I was able to play online games just fine on there, same Microsoft account and internet that the series X was not connecting too. My Xbox series x keeps saying it has a hardware issue when trying to connect the internet, I’m pretty sure this proves it’s a physical problem with the hardware on my Xbox. I still have warranty on it and can return it and trade in for a new one. I’ll try doing this and seeing if the trade in one works.

My xbox x will see my internet connection but will not connect to it even though my computer is on and using it, i have tried using a wired connection as well the same thing happens it won't connect, i have a tablet connected to it as well that works fine as well, so why won't the Xbox x not connect. Please help.

I have the same problem, I can't connect to Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 games (on my xbox serie x) since few days 🤔 I precise I don't have any problem on the Xbox serie X games, I have that only on the Xbox 360 games.

My internet is perfect too (I live in Belgium)
