Why is my Xbox Series X dashboard crashing?

Lately I've been noticing the dashboard is crashing when I scroll around for a while or if I open something (gamepass, store, settings etc) then press B to go back to the home screen. Then around a few seconds after the input freezes, I can't navigate the home screen, and then it goes black. A few seconds after that, my screen goes gray, then loads the dashboard back up as if I just turned the console on.

To me it seems the dashboard/home app is crashing, and is definitely NOT an HDMI issue.

The only solution is to wait it out or to hit the guide button, then to hit start on the home option and refresh it. But it still happens.

Any ideas why? I've already tried a full reboot by holding the power button down, checked for console updates, etc.

Did you get a resolution ? I've just received a brand new xbox series x back, date on the back is 4th June 2021. (last xbox series x died)

Every game I load results in xbox restarting or crash to the dashboard

Same problem for me. Series X, Alpha Skip Ahead. As soon as an Hulu tries to load an ad, it crashes to the dashboard. I have reported it through the console too.

Halo infinite was hard crashing a lot for me at launch but then seemed to work perfectly through December and now after the most recent update I’m back to crashing almost every game. The game even crashes in the main menu sometimes. Half the time it crashes to Xbox dashboard half the time it shuts the whole Xbox off. I’m on a series x. I’ve done all the troubleshooting tips. This game is broken.
