Why is my Xbox saying no connection when its connected?

I was trying to play a game but it was saying it couldn't connect to the games server so I told my friend that was in the party with me that I was gonna restart me Xbox and when it turned back on I couldnt invite him or any one else I could see them online but their profile pictures weren't there and I couldn't play half my games because it said test your connection even though I was connected and I could get on things like YouTube no issue I tried restarting again but with unplugging it and it still didn't work I tried giving it a minute to load and nothing happened I play on a series s and I don't know what to do

There's a server outage right now. You'd just have to wait for it to be fixed.

When I run my network connection test it says its all good and I'm connected, but then it says service info is unavailable. When I go to my desktop, theres a empty box that says connect to xbox live. I reset my router, logged out and logged back in, etc.
and nothing works. I've looked all over this website and a lot of people are having the same problem, but get no help. This problem has been going on for the last week or so. What the f*** xbox? Maybe this is why everyone is switching to ps4...
