Why is my Xbox not lettinging my password not working

I have not got 2 step verification on my account, but the password doesn't work on my xbox. I cannot find a reason as to why, and I've tried all emails accosiated with the account, nothing working. I wonder if it is worth enabling 2 step verification and then creating an app password to see if that will work?

"If you can't sign in to your Xbox after changing your Microsoft account password, the console may not have received your new account password.

Important Before trying the following solutions, make sure you can sign in to your Microsoft account online. To do this, go to account.microsoft.com, select Sign in, and enter your Microsoft account email address and new password.

Solution 1:

Press and hold the Xbox button  located in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Home/Stop center.

Select Restart console.

Select Restart.

After the console has restarted, try signing in again.

Solution 2:

Step 1: Remove your account from the console

Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select your account and confirm the operation.

Step 2: Add your account back to the console

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I have an email and password that I use to log onto xbox live. And it works and it displays my correct name and rep and gamerscore. DiplexPaper31 is not my gamertag. But this is the same log in information I used to log into
xbox live. Why are there two different accounts using the same email and password???
