Why is my xbox latency so high and what is the solution?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're experiencing high latency on your console. For us to isolate your issue, can you confirm if you are using Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable? Is this happening to all of your games or just to a specific title?

Please ensure that your profile is set the region where you're currently located.

To change the region in your Microsoft account profile:

Go to the Your info page of your Microsoft account dashboard:

Select Edit profile info.

Select the new Country or region from the dropdown list.

do not change your region for any reason, that is a violation of terms of service regardless of what he told you I can get you banned

The Internet speed that you pay for has absolutely no bearing on your latency. Latency is the time it takes for a data packet to go from you to the target and come back.

If you're using the dashboard test, you're simply seeing time to the login server, it has absolutely no meaning for gameplay and simply is for diagnostic purposes with the service.

The test on the xbox is apparently testing against a server in Seatle, USA which is why you are getting high latency.

Well every game I get put into is 80-100ms latency. So I’m just curious why the Xbox latency is still that high.

Latency o the console tests to seattle. Thats why it shows so high
